Dining & Eating in Kemah, Texas, Usa

Eating on the Boardwalk

The heart of Kemah is still the wonderful array of restaurants and fabulous seafood. One of the newest, and most spectacular, is The Aquarium. You don’t have to be hungry to take a walk through this restaurant. The hostesses, waiters and diners are accustomed to people walking through the restaurant to view the 50,000-gallon aquarium that takes center stage – all the way up to the third floor! Colorful sea life inhabits this underwater paradise, with an occasional diver to entertain the patrons. The Bamboo Bar is located outside The Aquarium and offers a great view of the water as well as wonderful frozen drink specialties.

The Crab House

The Crab House offers a more casual dining experience. Sit outside under the covered deck and feast on some of the freshest seafood around. Famous for their all-you-can-eat seafood bar, which features oysters, clams, shrimp, crab, mussels, salmon and crayfish, they also serve up tender steaks and pasta dishes. The Crab House offers a child’s menu starting at $3.99.

The Flying Dutchman

The Flying Dutchman, one of the oldest Boardwalk restaurants, is a favorite among visitors. Families in particular will enjoy the playground equipment located right beside the outside dining area. Little ones can play while parents wait for their table, enjoy a drink or even eat their meal.

Landry’s

Landry’s is another dining option, or stop by Joe’s Crab Shack to eat and watch the waitresses do the Macarena or other fun dances on the tables. If you don’t feel like seafood, stop by the Cadillac Bar and try some of their famous fajitas and frozen margaritas or The Pizza Oven for a delicious fresh-baked pizza
