Kemah is in Galveston County and is one of the best places to live in Texas. Living in Kemah offers residents a sparse suburban feel and most residents own their homes. In Kemah there are a lot of bars and restaurants. Many young professionals live in Kemah and residents tend to lean conservative.

The Kemah Boardwalk is a great attraction with lots of amusement rides and restaurants. The ride tickets are really pricey though and the lines on the weekends are VERY LONG! If you have younger children, they will not do well waiting for such a long time to ride the 2 minute Carousel.

Visiting Kemah Boardwalk is free (no free parking). But if you take the rides, there is a combo ticket as well as individual ride tickets. If I remember correctly, if you take all the rides it may cost something less than $30 only.
